WRIGHT CONSTRUCTION CO. SAFETY PROGRAM
Safety is a Wright Construction corporate culture, not just a corporate goal.
We have always been concerned with the health and safety of all our employees. We are proud of the fact that in our 25-year history we have never had an employee experience a catastrophic injury.
The company employs a committed safety director to oversee our safety program that includes:
- A proactive Safety Committee that represents management, field superintendents and field personnel and deals with a wide range of issues that relate to the safety of our employees.
- A company Safety Manual that is reviewed and updated as necessary every other year to meet current interpretations of OSHA regulations. Every Project manager, superintendent, field employee and sub-contractor is furnished a copy for day-to-day reference.
- Frequent job site inspections to assure compliance with Federal OSHA standards and sound construction practices.
- All supervisory personnel and selected field employees completing the 10-hour OSHA course every 3 years.
- Continuing education and training of employees to assure: high levels of craftsmen skills, awareness of safety standards, and certification in industrial equipment operating procedures.
- Monthly recognition of a field employee for their knowledge and awareness of job site safety. They are awarded a hardhat sticker and other perquisites as a visible recognition of their dedication.
Wright Construction received the prestigious honor of being recognized as one of five companies in the Sate of Vermont to receive an award for Outstanding Workplace Safety in 2004.
The Company has been a member of the AGC/VOSHA Partnership since its inception in 2002. The criteria for this partnership qualify us as Best of the Best in safety programs. This program requires a solid management commitment to a high quality safety program for our employees.
