Calvin Coolidge-Wilder Horse Barn, Plymouth, VT 2003

This $400,000 project consisted of a re-creation of a barn that stood during the time the future President Calvin Coolidge was growing up in Plymouth. The structure provides additional needed services for the Historic Site; including over 2,000 square foot of new display area for horse drawn vehicles, and implements, and a sheltered picnic area with public restrooms on the lower level. A stone veneered foundation supports a timber frame with mortise and tendon joinery. The rough board siding and wood shingle roofing complete the replication.
