Eagleville Bridge, Salem, NY 2006
Located in the heart of Washington County, NY between the towns of Salem and Jackson is the Eagleville Covered Bridge. This bridge location spans the Battenkill River and has been a popular fishing and swimming area for generations. This is a Town Lattice Truss Bridge originally built in the 1800’s.
The $1,300,000 rehabilitation of this bridge included abutment jet grouting to prevent erosion, comprehensive truss repair and upgrades, new siding, new paint and new guide rails and approach work.
