Mettowee Community School, Pawlet, VT 1997
This $3,170,000 wood-framed 35,000 square foot new elementary school was designed and constructed to blend with the rural farm communities of southern Rutland County. The first slab on grade was placed in April and substantial completion was achieved in mid-August. This aggressive schedule was accomplished with proper planning and creative construction techniques such as erecting a “greenhouse” on site during the prior winter and panelizing wall sections.
